What to know

- It costs less ($149 versus $169), works for any birthday theme since it doesn't carry a character on it, and it's the model most operators have on hand any given weekend — the one least likely to run out of stock on your date.
- What ages does it work best for?
- Ages 3 to 8 is where it performs best. Before 3, plenty of kids still hesitate to climb in; after 8, they usually start asking for the slide combo because they want more movement.
- How much yard does it need?
- About 15 by 15 feet of footprint, plus clear space around it for the anchoring and the blower — the same standard as any bounce house this size. We cover it in detail in the backyard guide.
- Does it work for a big group?
- Up to around 25-30 kids it moves fine. Past that it starts to queue up: that is where the slide combo helps, since it splits the activity between bouncing and sliding, or a second unit.
