Setting up in a Coral Gables backyard
Coral Gables yards usually have room to spare for the classic one and even the combo with slide. The limit here is almost never the ground: it is the tree. The mature banyans and oaks that give the city its character are exactly what eats the 15 feet of clear height an inflatable needs.
Before booking, step into the yard and look up: find the patch with open sky. There almost always is one, and we pick it together from the photo. Better to move the inflatable ten feet than to discover on Saturday that the branch is in the way.
A lot of houses here have the yard behind a side gate with a hedge or wall. We need 48 inches of clear passage — if yours is one of the older narrow gates, tell us and we bring a unit that fits through it.
If the party is in a park
Coral Gables parks expressly prohibit mechanical rides, live animal rides and other entertainment devices — inflatables fall in that category. Renting a pavilion runs $50 to $65 an hour plus tax, with a $100 deposit and the permit filed 7 days ahead; Jaycee Park and Pierce Park are city residents only. But for the bounce house, the answer is the backyard.

- How much does it cost?
- It comes down to three things: the size of the inflatable, the date — Saturday is the expensive day everywhere in Miami — and the area. That's why we don't publish a price list that changes later. Write to us and you get a closed price today, before you hand over any payment details.
- What do I need for twenty kids?
- Less than you think, usually. They never all play at once: at any given moment about half to two thirds of the kids are on it and the rest are eating or with their parents. Tell us their ages and we'll size the party to that — and if the simplest setup is enough, that's what we'll say.
- Will it fit in my backyard?
- The standard one takes about 15 by 15 feet, plus 5 or 6 feet clear on each side: plan for around 25 by 25 feet total and it fits a normal Miami backyard. What usually fails is not the yard but the gate — you need 48 inches of clear width to get it through. - What if the party is in a park?
- Almost every party we put together is in a backyard, which is easier and cheaper. But if yours is at a park, everything changes: the park requires the vendor to be on its registered list, charges its own fee, and the shelter has no power at all. - What if it rains?
- Miami summers rain almost every afternoon, so we talk it through with you as soon as it looks likely — not at eleven on the day. Inflatables don't go up in storms or high wind: that's the operator's rule and it's a safety one. If it happens, we move the date and your deposit stays yours.
